Acererak is a god more selfish than any other. He cares only about himself, and his followers. He hates the other gods, and wants to destroy them, but he's no strong enough. He's kept in check by the agreement in the world of Boden, but he does everything he can to encourage his followers to do as he would.

His domain could most succinctly be described as evil. He doesn't see it as bad. He sees it as doing the best you can for yourself... and if you have kill or abuse others in the process, that's fine.

A follower of Acererak is one who seeks power, fame, and fortune in an effort to make their own life (or unlife) better. If you would enjoy killing that child selling bread with his mom just to see the anguish on her face... Acererak is for you. No deed is taboo except one of mercy or compassion. His followers are usually called Clerics, because the word suggests a follower of a god, while Paladin suggests someone more virtuous.
